The position is accountable for providing accurate, timely, and relevant monthly, quarterly and annual financial data production, reporting, analysis, planning and forecasting to different stakeholders of the Global Wealth and Asset Management & General Account (GWAM & GA) Finance Financial Planning & Analysis – Retail team.

Job Description

 Role and Responsibilities:

Actively involved with consolidating, analyzing, and synthesizing large amount of financial and non-financial information from various stakeholdersPrepares high-quality monthly and quarterly reports, dashboards and presentations in a timely and organized fashion catered to the needs of the different stakeholders of Global WAM & GA Finance - Financial Planning and Analysis – US RetailPrepares Monthly Management Reporting (MMR), WAM MIS Report, Desk P&L Report, Commentaries, Forecasts from different business segments, Annual Planning cycle and othersPrepares and maintains templates of report packages, highlight key issues, and actively look for resolutionExamine and clearly communicate the sales trends or results, and deliver a presentation to the US Retail CFO and Business unitsImproves and re-engineers reporting processes and deliverables to create consistency and efficiency during month-end and quarter-end cyclesSupports the annual consolidated planning process, including investigation of trends, model projections, sensitivities, metrics and preparation of presentation decksInitiates improvements by exploring, identifying, and implementing reporting, analysis, and process solutionsWorks closely with the North America business unit, Stakeholders and MBPS FP&A teammates to ensure a smooth reporting and planning process, assisting in ad hoc requests as needed Participates in team cross-training to establish back-up and improvement of processes handledTrains new resources within the team and in conducting quality checks on the team’s work in certain circumstances

Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies/Education:

University graduate in Accounting/Finance, professional accounting designation (CPA) is preferredAt least 4 years of experience in a finance role, Wealth and Asset Management industry experience an assetExperience in participating or spearheading in automating processes is a plusStrong MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skillsGood communication and presentation skills; ability to succinctly engage with business partners and team membersPower BI knowledge is a plusStrong technical accounting skills with a solid understanding of the business environment and financial reporting structure to provide value-added analysisKnowledge of IFRS tools (SmartView-Essbase, Lawson)Strong attention to detailProven ability to thrive in a fast paced, high-performing and collaborative team environment while managing multiple, constantly changing priorities and ad-hoc requestsProactive approach to continuous improvements and a positive “can-do” attitudeAbility to identify and investigate complex issues and recommend actionable solutions
