Amazon.com is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for a high visibility role supporting Amazon's Prime Video leadership team. Opportunities abound for impactful analysis, process improvement, and scope expansion. Primary responsibilities will include ownership of headcount and operating expense forecasting and planning. Both areas require a candidate that is eager to learn about the drivers of the Video business and comfortable interacting with and influencing senior video business leaders. The right individual will have exceptional financial modeling skills and the ability to Think Big about opportunities and challenges facing the business.
This candidate must have the ability to influence the decisions of business partners through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives. The ability to think and act quickly under pressure and manage multiple competing priorities effectively is a must. A proven track record of superior financial and strategic analysis and developing/delivering recommendations based on this analysis is a requirement for this role. Successful candidates will have the initiative to anticipate business demands of senior-level business managers. This person thrives in a fast-paced environment and exhibits the highest professional standards.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 2+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
