The Royal Caribbean Group has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Financial Analyst, Marine Operations reporting to the Manager of Finance Marine.
This position works on-site in Miami, Florida.
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for conducting and coordinating various analyses as determined by Senior Management in support of operations decision making. Identification of opportunities to improve operating results through financial analysis and development of enhanced management information systems are key activities. Effective communication of this information to Senior Management and the respective operational groups is critical to the success of this position.
This role involves travel to support dry-dock operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify opportunities to improve operating performance through information gathering and analysis. Design models for monthly / quarterly / yearly forecasts in support of operations decision making. Oversee financial aspect for all Dry Dock Operations. Assist ship managers and shoreside team with inquiries related to their budgets. Create and maintains accurate and real-time management reports and analysis including quick turn-around of ad-hoc financial analysis in a dynamic environment. Lead special projects/requests as determined by Marine Operations Management and/or Finance Management. Summarize variance investigations and assist in the development of action plans. Formulate efficient research plans for analyzing large amounts of data. Assist in the development and implementation of benchmark reports for operating groups. Summarize trends and relationships through graphs, schedules, and memoranda. Responsible for "special project" initiatives as defined by senior management. Support vendor evaluations and facilitates payment approvals and invoice processing. Responsible for the plan, forecast and variances for budgets > $100M. Future travel may be required (Up to 5%).
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
Four-year Bachelor's or equivalent (MBA preferred); or four to ten years related financial and business analysis experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidate must possess strong written and oral communication skills and be able to work effectively with all levels of operational personnel. Strong PC skills are required. Advanced Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project strongly preferred. Knowledge of Brio is helpful. Advanced analytical skills should include mathematical modeling, broad exposure to operations research, and statistics.We know there's a lot to consider.
