Senior Financial Analyst, Merchandising Finance
Your Impact:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Senior Financial Analyst to support the Merchandising function. By identifying the right products that resonate with customers and cultivating strong vendor relationships, the Merchant organization is central to Lowes delivering over $80B of profitable Sales.
This role will be responsible for delivering FP&A support to the Business Area level Merchandising Finance team. Through best-in-class FP&A processes and tools, the Merchandising Finance SFA will enable the Merchandising Finance team to deliver insightful and proactive financial analysis that drive fact based, data driven decision making. This role will work to challenge the status quo and dive deep to solve complex business problems.
The successful candidate will be a creative thinker, have a strong bias to action and the ability to collaborate across key support functions. The Senior Analyst must be able to work effectively within a matrixed organization and demonstrate self-leadership and change agility, as well as the ability to influence and interact with various levels of the organization.
What you will do:
Support key FP&A processes, including weekly business reviews, monthly sales and margin forecasting, annual Planning and Strategic Planning
Design, develop & deliver insightful financial reporting, dashboards and analyses
Lead executive-directed projects, such as cost out opportunity sizing, expense productivity and commodity analysis
Collaborate across the business and with peers to provide root cause analysis and actionable insights based on financial and non-financial data to functional partners
Provide proactive and timely financial analysis that highlights risks and opportunities to drive better business decisions
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
3 years of experience in finance or analytical role with a public company, public accounting or related experience
Experience with financial forecasting or analytic modeling and report automation
Experience with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree or MBA
CPA, CFA or CMA
Exceptional analytical skills; highly detail oriented
Previous experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Corporate Accounting
Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools (MicroStrategy, TM1, Hyperion/Essbase, Business Objects, Teradata, etc.)
