Job Description:

We are currently searching for a Senior Financial Analyst with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance at Microchip’s headquarters in Chandler, Arizona. This position will prepare and coordinate quarterly and annual filings to meet reporting requirements for the company.

Working with large amounts of data in multiple systems is expected for this role. The ideal candidate possesses excellent Excel skills and will have a flexible, can-do attitude and be attracted to challenges and opportunities while working within a collaborative, fast-paced work environment.

Requirements/Qualifications:

 Job Responsibilities:

Assist with month, quarter and year ending closing activities, including internal and external financial reporting requirementsAssist with annual shareholder reportingPartner, collaborate and train the global Finance teams on ad hoc reporting in Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Service (FCCS), the company’s consolidation toolUpdate and maintain reports and templates as required for internal and external reportingSystem maintenance related to financial results such as, performing year end closing and rollforward, FCCS dimension updatesAssist with maintaining compliance on audit requirementsData collection and analysis, including accounting systems, Consolidation tool and direct inquiryAssist with coordinating the global close processPrepare and assist with Government Surveys

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required1-2+ years of accounting or Big 4 audit experienceHighly proficient with Microsoft Excel with the ability to research and investigate independentlyKnowledge of US GAAP including ability to research, document and apply accounting standardsStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, PPT, Teams)Experience working with Workiva a plusShould be prepared to work long hours during month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing periods as neededAccuracy and attention to detailExcellent time management & multi-tasking skills with the ability prioritize and adhere to strict deadlinesComfortable with managing large amounts of data in different formats and systems
