The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) will support the accounting functions for various corporate cost center groups. In addition, the Senior Financial Analyst will assist with payroll and benefits accounting and reporting.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare monthly journal entries to book prepaid expenses and associated amortization, accruals, reclassifications, allocations, etc., ensuring that all entries are completed on a timely basisPrepare monthly benefit allocations for the various corporate fringe poolsReview monthly invoices and make recommendations on necessary accruals and reclasses Reconcile intercompany accounts with divisional counterpartsReconcile balance sheet accountsWork directly with benefits vendors to report and confirm actual claims costs, health savings, flex spending, and 401K by fringe poolBook monthly claims and reimbursement charges for health care, 401K, transit fees, and health savings accounts by fringe poolAssist with performing self-insured plans reconciliationsAssist with all SOX related documentation and signoffsPartner with Payroll, Human Resources, Information Technology, and any other groups that impacts benefits processing or activities to ensure appropriate financial accounting of transactionsBuild effective business relationship with Benefits Operational staff in Los Angeles and New YorkPerform ad hoc projects and reporting as requiredWHAT YOU WILL NEED
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field2+ years of experience in public accounting or private industryGeneral accounting knowledge, including a strong knowledge of GAAPStrong analytical skills, verbal and written communication skills, and the aptitude to communicate with all levels of managementAbility to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, be detail-oriented, and meet time-sensitive deadlinesStrong sense of responsibility and accountability, and results-orientedStrong problem-solving skillsStrong knowledge of ExcelNICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER
Knowledge of Workday ERP systemKnowledge of SOXCPA or CPA candidate#LI-DNI
