Responsibilities and Duties
• Train and support corporate department leads in their understanding of monthly financials and how their departments are performing relative to budget and forecast
• Prepare financial reporting for various audiences on a monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc basis
• Partner with the Director of Corporate FP& A in performing monthly variance analyses and investigating material variances to obtain complete explanations and understandings
• Support and track new broker recruiting opportunities to inform senior leaders of the financial outcomes of various scenarios; work with senior leadership to create presentations for top tier recruits
• Drive efficiencies and transparency in the allocation of shared costs – ensure that allocable costs flow through the Budgeting and Accounting systems to be equitably charged to the business users
• Partner with field teams to develop an annual budget – coordinate the inputs, versions, reviews, and reporting of the budget with all interested parties
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and work with relevant parties to implement improvements
• Develop business partnerships within the organization with the purpose of influencing partners to take an active role in achieving company financial goals
Requirements
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field with 3-6 years of experience
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (index-match function, lookups, dataset structure and formatting, etc.) and experience working with medium- to large-scale dimension-based financial systems
• Ability to maintain credibility and confidentiality when interacting with senior leaders in the organization
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills with experience partnering with non-Finance business partners
• Strong organizational skills, implements and maintains structure when performing tasks/processes
• Strong knowledge of accounting concepts and language including the relationships among and between the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow Statement
• Experience working in a Finance department and desire for a career in company Finance
