Senior Financial Analyst

The Senior Financial Analyst is a pivotal member of the Finance unit and will report to the Assistant Vice President, Finance, Accident and Health.  The Senior Financial Analyst will interact with a diverse group of internal personnel including other financial analysts, divisional leadership, actuarial and functional staff to interpret financial data and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Get a full and deep understanding of our business, processes, systems, and products. G&A expense and ULAE reporting, variance analysis and planning. Assist with expense budgets for various A&H departments.   Maintain expense database for analysis, familiarity working with large data sets and manipulation. Review actual expenses on a monthly basis and update forecasts as necessary. Financial support to Leisure Travel and Individual Travel segments. Balancing Paymentech to Chubb Systems. Manage all Credit Card Chargebacks. Accounts Receivable Reconciliations. Monthly Quantum Cash Balancing. Periodic Reconciliation of Various Leisure Travel/Individual Travel systems. Monthly analysis and validation of registered premium and commissions.  Prepare Accounts Payable vouchers and Vendor Management – Coupa experience a plus. Periodic journal entries for various fees. Year End Statutory Reporting for A&H. Assist in preparing profit share calculations. Manage Affinity production, monthly forecast, annual plan, strategic plan. Assist with special projects and other assigned duties. Support Chubb Accident and Health division finance goals/objectives.

Ability to complete multiple tasks independently in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.  Work in 3 days in office /2 days work from home hybrid work schedule.
 

Technical Skills:
 

Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with an attention to detail.Mastery of end user applications (e.g., Microsoft products such as Excel/Word/Access/PowerPoint). Exposure to other software products (i.e TM1, Power BI, PeopleSoft, Cognos, Peoplesoft, Qlik Sense).Proven problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively across organizational areas and management levels.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, or Finance required.Minimum of 3 - 5 years of accounting or financial planning & analysis experience.Public Accounting experience and/or CPA or MBA designation a plus.Understanding of P&C insurance accounting (GAAP/SAP) and insurance industry experience beneficial.
