Senior Financial Analyst

Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst. This position is responsible for gathering, preparing, and analyzing monthly results as well as quarterly forecasts and the annual budget. The Senior Analyst will report to the Senior Manager of Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis. The position interacts and supports senior management, Corporate and Operational accounting, Treasury, and Commercial departments.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing the detailed monthly presentation on actual results, including:Analyzing detailed sales information by customers, markets, and productsConsolidating sales and profits for all segments of the companyCompiling cost information from all segments of the companyCoordinate and analyze quarterly forecasts and the annual budget for the entire companySupport the CFO and Senior Vice President in preparation of quarterly earnings callsAssist in reporting and analysis of SG&A costs and corporate budgetsPrepare additional presentations for use by senior managementBuild financial models to analyze sales data including by customer and by marketLead projects to establish standardized practices among legacy companiesParticipate in responding to Ad Hoc requests from senior managementDrive process improvement initiativesOther duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related field3-5 years of previous related experienceStrong analytical, problem-solving, and learning skillsExcellent communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externallyProficiency in Microsoft Excel


Preferred Qualifications:

Accounting/Finance experience in a manufacturing environmentProficiency with SAP and Microsoft PowerPoint
