Role overview

Are you a motivated and enthusiastic Finance professional with a passion for providing meaningful insights that drive business success? Join our Finance team as a Senior Financial Analyst, where you'll work closely with the FP&A Manager Europe to support the European Industrial Gases business in achieving its financial and strategic goals. Your role will be pivotal in delivering accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and actionable financial advice to key stakeholders across Europe and Africa.

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you’ll take ownership of critical financial processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. You’ll be a key partner to commercial and supply chain teams, helping them navigate financial complexities and make informed decisions that impact the business.

As a Senior Financial Analyst your responsibilities are:

Drive Financial Performance

Support the achievement of Operating Plan targets for the European Industrial Gases business.

Perform month-end close reviews, major factor analysis, and forecasting to ensure financial clarity.

Prepare monthly and quarterly business reports, collaborating with regional management.

Contribute to quarterly forecasts by analyzing trends and identifying key business drivers.

Lead the annual Operating Plan process, working closely with stakeholders across the business.

Be a Strategic Business Partner

Conduct financial analysis on customer profitability, pricing, and new business opportunities.

Monitor CAPEX spending and facilitate cost control across supply chain and plant operations.

Engage in key business meetings, providing data-driven insights to support decision-making.

Assist in preparing “Cost to Serve” standards for the industrial gases business.

Collaborate with Supply Chain, Customer Engineering, and Operations, helping them understand financial performance, cost trends, and efficiency opportunities.

Support various ad-hoc financial projects that contribute to business growth and efficiency.

Mentor and Develop

Role requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll at least need!

✔ A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or a related field.

✔ 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar financial role.

✔ Fluency in English (our primary business language).

✔ Strong analytical skills – You ask the right questions to uncover key insights.

✔ Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in ERP's like SAP, Analysis/BW

✔ Excellent communication skills – You can engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

✔ The ability to work under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Nice to have's

MBA, master's in finance or economics or a financial qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CMA/CFA) would be a distinctive advantage

Knowledge of BI tools (BEX, Qlik Sense, Qlik View)

Extra languages such as Spanish or French
