Senior Financial Analyst
Our GFL team is expanding, and we’re looking for a Senior Financial Analyst. In this role, you will play a vital role by being responsible for responsible for capital planning activities, capital forecasting, and financial modeling, ensuring alignment with GFL’s financial strategy. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally across departments.

A “Day in the Life" of a Senior Financial Analyst:

Capital Planning: Create new projects and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

Project Activation: Process budget transfer requests and activate approved projects promptly.

Capital Reports: Prepare and maintain monthly capital addition/receipt reports.

Financial Outlook: Develop an in-depth understanding of the multi-year capital outlook and its financial implications.

Capital Committee Support: Prepare analysis and reports to aid in decision-making.

Cash Reconciliation: Assist with cash capital reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and compliance

FP&A Collaboration: Support forecasting, financial modeling, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or related field with 3-5 years of experience in FP&A or capital planning.

Technical Skills: Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills; advanced Excel proficiency; Workday or similar financial system experience is a plus.

Capital Planning Expertise: Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning processes; working knowledge of IFRS accounting principles.

Organizational & Analytical: Highly organized, detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Communication & Problem-Solving: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proactive problem solver with a focus on process improvement.
