Senior Financial Analyst

C.H. Robinson is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst. This hybrid position requires you to be in the office three days per week at our corporate headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN.

In this role, you will serve as a thought partner, analyzing data and supporting sound business decisions within a specific division of C.H. Robinson. Your Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) responsibilities will include preparing monthly financial statements and comparative reports, analyzing Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, conducting return-on-investment (ROI) modeling, preparing annual budgets, and providing strategic insights to internal stakeholders. This role primarily interacts with business leaders to generate value for the enterprise.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

Execute the annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes in support of a cross-functional leader

Advise business partners on budgeting and forecasting guidelines, philosophy, and approach

Provide guidance and mentorship to the FP&A team

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver data-driven financial planning and strategic recommendations

Use financial data to assess the broader business impact, develop scenarios, and drive strategic decisions

Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial management reports while addressing stakeholder questions and requests

Utilize month-end financial data from the Finance team to conduct variance analysis and generate insights

Act as a key partner to stakeholders in analyzing financial results and making recommendations

Perform cash flow analysis and financial modeling to evaluate ROI and projections for key projects

Communicate analytical insights to stakeholders, highlighting actionable areas for improvement

Identify and recommend data-driven solutions for business decisions and financial plans

Lead process improvement initiatives for financial planning and analysis activities, including end-user tools and resources

Manage the implementation of reporting and analytical tools to support informed business and financial decision-making

Partner with the corporate finance team to enhance reporting and analytical capabilities

Demonstrate intermediate to advanced knowledge of financial planning and analysis concepts

Perform other duties as assigned, based on team and country-specific requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited college or university

Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Financial Planning & Analysis or related finance roles

Ability to travel up to 10% (domestically and internationally)

Preferred:

Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university

Strong data analytics, financial analysis, and accounting skills

Experience with finance technology (e.g., Oracle, Essbase, TM1, Anaplan)

Familiarity with Continuous Improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies

Experience leading and mentoring peers

Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all organizational levels

Proven ability to influence and consult with multiple stakeholders

Ability to navigate a matrixed organization with competing priorities

Experience coaching and developing junior staff members

Team-oriented and thrives in a collaborative environment

Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities

Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, results-driven environment

Compensation Range

$76,100.00 - $118,700.00
