Senior Financial Analyst - Financial Planning and Analysis
Job Description

Hybrid This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Cadillac Tower, Warren MI three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business]

GM Envolve Finance is looking for a highly motivated, results driven individual that possesses strong analytical, strategic, and collaboration skills. This role leads the GM Envolve FP&A group with actuals reporting, forecasting, and budget creation for the Fleet business. This role will work closely with GM Envolve Sales, Fleet Incentives, GMNA SSM Incentives, GMNA FP&A and SSM Accounting

Responsibilities

Prepare and present detailed analyses and variance walks of GM Envolve sales allowance against budget, prior forecast, prior year and targets (monthly, quarterly & annually)

Present financial and operational outlooks to the senior Finance leadership

Support development of GM Envolve P&L budget, forecast and variance explanations

Manage Fleet incentive opportunities and risks

Analyze and evaluate GM Envolve financial performance

Work cross-functionally with SSM FPA team and GMNA FPA team on GM Envolve forecast and variance explanations

Collaborate with Controllership on the creation and posting of monthly accrual entries for Fleet incentives

Oversee business unit actual and forecast submissions into GMNA SSM Incentives and tight submission deadlines

Manage and lead GM Envolve incentive budget and Long Term Plan (LTP) development

Develop and maintain close partnership with SMEs and understand their scope

Lead special projects and completion of ad hoc reporting requests

Optimize all deliverables for efficiency and design with continuity in mind

Leverage outputs to drive early awareness of when/where the business is off-track

Support creation of business objectives

Responsible for continuous improvement ideas and support Future of Finance initiatives

Anticipate partner needs (proactive v. reactive)

Support culture of innovation, engagement, and inclusivity

This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate



Additional Job Description

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Mathematics, Economics, or related field

5 years of finance or accounting experience

Knowledge of corporate finance principles & tools and familiarity with accounting principles

Expert in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint

Ability to perform in a fast paced and dynamic environment and ability prioritize assignments/projects and multi-task within time constraints

Clearly communicate financial analysis and recommendations to executive leadership

Network and build trust across peer group in business unit and functions

Strong problem solving and analytical skills, learning agility and intellectual curiosity

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with PowerBI and Access
