Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst I for the College of Nursing Department. Reporting to the Grants and Contract Manager, she/he will assist in the daily operations as it relates to Research and Sponsored Projects and provide oversight of grant post-award administration for the School of Nursing.
The School of Nursing is one of eight schools that comprise the Rutgers Health. As part of the RH, the School of Nursing offers unique opportunities in education, research, and practice at a leading national research university which is the state’s premier, comprehensive, public institution of higher learning, innovative academic bachelor’s, master’s, post master’s, DNP, and Ph.D. programs that are preparing nurse leaders of today and tomorrow at campuses located in Newark, New Brunswick, and Blackwood, NJ.
Among the key duties of this position are the following: Provides accounting and budgeting support to Principal Investigators in budget development, financial monitoring, review, and analysis in accordance with University grants and contracts procedures as well as funding agency guidelines and requirements. Manages the effort reporting process and coordinates ECRT certifications in line with the university’s required timeline. Prepares monthly grant financial analysis and keeps PI informed on grant progress, burn rate, funding availability, and any other related issues. Participates in the quarterly grant projections and annual budget for all sponsored programs to be consolidated into the School’s overall projection and budget submission.
