Senior Financial Analyst - Shared Resource Administration

The Senior Financial Planning Analyst for Shared Resource will work with institutional shared resources that provide services to St. Jude researchers. Responsibilities include determining capacity and utilization of shared resources, conducting benchmarking for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, validating and analyzing financial baselines, and performing account-level mapping of expenses. The analyst will also analyze chargeback methodologies, recovery rates, and variances, and conduct in-depth operational analysis. This includes studying lab workflows, resource time allocation, service delivery estimates, instrument capacity, turnaround time, pricing, and chargebacks. This role involves conducting detailed analyses, summarizing findings, and tracking/reporting performance and model projections. The analyst will utilize data to uncover trends and key insights critical for the organization’s success, ensuring data integrity and accuracy, and overseeing the resolution of data issues. Job Responsibilities: Develop and coordinate annual budget, monthly financial variance analysis, and charge level direct cost for assigned departments. Participate in quarterly forecast, and annual budget processes for the department. Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of compliance with contract policies and procedures. Ensure data integrity in the company’s financials and raise potential issues to management in a timely manner. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency/ automate current processes to enable focus on analytics and insights. Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution. Maintains regular and predictable attendance. Minimum Education and/or Training: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field of study required. Minimum Experience: Minimum Requirement: 4+ years of experience in management/administration of financial/budgetary processes within a healthcare setting. Experience with budget and general ledger system. Some experience developing cost accounting systems preferred. Proven performance in earlier role. Compensation In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
