Senior Financial Analyst- Studio Ultimates
Job Summary:

The Studio Ultimates team is responsible for consolidating ultimates and managing APR expense for Studio content films from Disney, Lucasfilm, Marvel, 20th Century, Searchlight, Pixar and Walt Disney Animation.

We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst that will play a key role in the Studio Ultimates finance team with the review and consolidation of ultimates, along with financial modeling of participations and residuals, and the forecasting and accounting for all Studio APR expense.  This offers a great opportunity to work with finance partners across the various lines of businesses (theatrical, home entertainment, music, etc.). 

Responsibilities:

Consolidation and analysis of the ultimates (10-year P&L projections) for each Studio film in compliance with FASB ASC 926, focusing on management reporting and the accuracy of the participations and residuals estimates

Calculation of participation and residual cost ultimate models for each Studio film based on contractual deal points for the film’s key talent and co-producing studios

Generation of amortization, participation and residual (APR) rates for use in calculating APR expenses each quarter close and forecast

Preparation and review of PwC/SOX schedules for quarterly audits

Preparation and review of quarterly tax reporting requirements

Preparation of film impairment models in accordance with FASB ASC 926

Ad-hoc reporting as requested to support senior management and business partners

Attributes:

Analysis: ability to identify and resolve issues, ability to prepare cause of change, persistent attention to detail,

Systems: strong knowledge of Excel required, SAP/Cognos/ERP experience preferred; database management skills (e.g., SQL) a plus

Communication: strong written and verbal communication skills with partners across the company

Multi-tasker: strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required (emphasis in Business, Finance or Accounting preferred) 

2-5 years of experience

CPA or CPA candidate a plus

Entertainment industry experience preferred


The hiring range for this position in Burbank, California is $103,400 to $126,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
