Ensuring accountability, including improving financial acumen of operational partners while driving action toward continuous improvement with urgency and attention to detail Driving personnel development and growth of analytical capabilities Role Responsibilities The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for budgeting, reporting, and analysis for various areas of the supply chain cost structure in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, accounting principles and corporate accounting policies and procedures. Examples include: new product costing, conversion cost (labor and overhead), inventory, procurement, logistics, and other areas of cost of goods sold Weekly / Monthly reporting, variance analysis, and forecasting (including risks and opportunities). Support preparation of Monthly Business Reviews with executive leadership Inventory/COGS analysis including inventory capitalization (Material Ledger) Identify, highlight areas of waste within the ‘end to end’ cost structure, drive improvement actions as needed. Support finance leadership with accurate financial reporting, loss and waste analysis, and KPIs to aid in decision support and to drive performance in pursuit of profit and cash flow targets. Support driving financial acumen with operational partners. Educating Managers, supervisors of the various cost buckets and opportunities for savings to deliver financial targets. Support strategic and special projects as needed. Provide bandwidth for team members when special circumstances arise Partner cross-functionally to manage process improvement projects, to foster greater accountability, and to improve efficiency throughout the organization. Develop & own financial models to support business needs. Manage various monthly accruals and journal entries, execute accounting and internal controls efforts, and complete various monthly and quarterly account reconciliations (not covered by Accounting COE) as needed Qualifications Education: Finance, Accounting, or equivalent degree Certifications/Licensure: MBA, CPA (or equivalent) preferred Years of experience: 5+ years work experience in Finance / Accounting Industry experience: preferred, not required SAP experience a plus Strong supply chain experience and understanding of Supply Chain operating models Excellent verbal (presentation) and written communication skills Ability to work with large amounts of data and fluent in data manipulation and other analytical techniques, including display and visualization. Able to summarize output in business-friendly language and communicate effectively across a broad range of audiences, including plant-level stakeholders and executive decision-makers Collaborative style, willing to work in cross-functional teams and experience influencing outside of reporting structures. Travel: 5%The salary range for this role, based in Kentucky, is $70,400-$88,000, along with an annual bonus, 401K match, profit sharing, and medical and wellness benefits. The salary range is commensurate with the candidate’s location, experience, and skillset. The range will vary if outside of this location.
