Job Requirements REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent; minimum of five years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in an academic environment; aptitude for learning new software applications; a high degree of initiative; excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; the ability to manage a variety of detail-oriented tasks concurrently and to analyze situations and propose solutions; to work independently, as part of a team, and remain flexible as situations demand; and to manage confidential information or issues with discretion. PREFERRED: bachelor’s degree, experience with SAP or similar accounting package, grants or research funds management, and robust experience with Excel; and knowledge and experience with MIT financial systems (SAPGui, SAPWeb, Concur, Cognos, COEUS) and with preparing projections or forecasting.
