Completes budget planning, financial planning, actual-versus-plan-analysis, benchmarking, forecasting and reporting activities, for the management of an assigned organization unit.This is a hybrid position in our Malvern, PA office.
The Senior Financial Controller will be a key contributor to the highly dynamic North America (NAM) Performance Controlling team.
The successful candidate will be an expert who can provide guidance for complex financial reporting topics, lead NAM Performance controlling closing activities, and timely communicate monthly financial result to stakeholders with a meaningful commentary. This position will interact with many layers and functions of the organization.
Your Role:
Lead NAM monthly closing activities, maintain an effective and high-quality closing process and ensure complying with International Financial Reporting Guidelines (IFRG).
Perform critical trend analysis and review on P&L actual performance to ensure integrity of data prior to books & records closure, collaborate with Business Area or function area controllers to gain clarity on key business drivers, and identify actions/measures needed to achieve business targets.
Prepare monthly closing analytics by analyzing various KPI’s of the business, including orders, revenue, sales margins, contribution margins, non-op accounts, operating expenses and key OWC positions.
On quarterly basis, prepare quarterly pre-close and post-close meeting presentation, present key closing topics and financial results to senior leadership, and address action items from the meetings.
Deep dive analysis on balance sheet accounts, coordinate quarterly review meetings with Accounting and Business, monitor key balance sheet accounts to ensure no potential risks.
As an SAP subject matter expert, serve as the core team member for an SAP system upgrade project.
Drive ad-hoc projects to remain them on time, on budget, and to deliver required features and specifications.
Collaborate and engage with stakeholders to identify, evaluate, develop, and drive opportunities for digitalization and automation to streamline and simplify existing workflows.
Required Skills, Education and Experience for this position:
BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, or related area, an MBA or CPA is preferred.
8+ years of successful experience in monthly close activities and various types of financial analysis within accounting or controlling.
Applied experience and knowledge of IFRS.
Strong technical SAP knowledge and experience in FICO module.
Ability to interface with upper management and cross-functional colleagues in a professional manner.
Solid professional judgment and problem-solving competence.
Highly proficiency with Microsoft Excel, experience with Knime, Jedox, and power BI is desired.
Proactively shares knowledge within own team and ability to cultivate a collaborative working environment.
