Senior Financial Systems Analyst

The position is located in the Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Retail Securities Services (RSS), Division as assigned. The mission of RSS is to offer Americans simple and accessible Treasury securities to build savings and help enable financial confidence. Responsibilities As a Senior Financial Systems Analyst, you will: Conduct studies and projects to improve policy, procedures, and controls to accomplish office initiatives and support functions. Ensure adherence to proper financing systems and standards. Determine the feasibility of proposed and mandated financing systems changes. Coordinate and participate in the development, management, and maintenance of the systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment A one-year probationary period may be required. Must successfully complete a background investigation. Periodic reinvestigation is required no later than five years after selection and at least every succeeding five years. Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required. This position requires that the successful candidate undergo personnel vetting, which includes a background investigation and enrollment upon onboarding into "Continuous Vetting." Enrollment in Continuous Vetting will result in automated record checks being conducted throughout one's employment with Treasury. The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized Experience for the GS-13 is defined as: One year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes AT LEAST TWO (2) of the THREE (3): -Participating as a project leader in the development or design of financial systems to ensure proper application processing. OR -Defining requirements and determining project deliverables in order to meet business requirements. OR -Technical experience in AT LEAST TWO or more the following areas: system infrastructure, architecture, frameworks, batch processing and system interfaces. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
