Senior Finishing Automation Equipment engineer **Date:** Dec 25, 2024 **Location:** Taichung, TW, 407 **Company:** Corning **Key Responsibilities** + Optimize Automation system to improve capacity and capability. + Integrate PLC + Robot control systems to reduce manual work and routine job. + Support AIOT engineer for hardware set up to achieve digital transformation. + Design new or modify equipment to improve manufacturing performance. + Trouble shoots material, process and equipment issues, identifies root cause and implements corrective action to meet the manufacturing performance target. + Develop or modify equipment including data acquisition, data transformation, and control criteria setup. + Lead development in engineering programs of equipment design which improve current process then provide training to shop floor. + Schedule, budget, quality, and safety control during repair and startup support + Supports new technology migration through equipment installation, process optimization and documentations. + Deliver engineering support to shop floor, identifies root cause and implements corrective & preventive action to meet the manufacturing performance target. + Weekend coverage is requirement as needed. **Experiences/Education** + Bachelor or Master of Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other engineering related. + In current position for 2 year or above. + Good English proficiency in writing, listening and speaking and TOEIC 550 is a plus. **Required Skills:** + Familiar with CAD (AutoCAD and SolidWorks) skill for mechanical design. + Familiar in automation application Programming. Ex: IPC (Industrial PC) or other single board PC (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Labview…). + Familiar with application of advance sensor, motor, transmission, and control system. + Familiar with PC hardware, OS(Windows and Linux), and network communication (Ethernet and Wi-Fi) + IOT (Internet of Things) application experience. + Report & presentation skills. + Safety awareness. + Skills in software of Windows Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power point, etc. + Good communication, coordination, proactive and follow-up ability. + Problem solving skills on process and equipment troubleshooting. + Have a strong ownership of achieving team goal and schedule target. + Quality and process control concept. **Desired Skills** + Automation / IOT system development or application experience. + Project Leadership Experience (defining scopes, budget, timelines, collaborate with project member and stakeholders etc.) + Experience in implementing digital transformation related technology to improve manufacturing efficiency. + Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin)
