Position Summary
We are looking for a Finishing Producer Sr (Long Form), for a fixed term contract covering maternity leave. The Senior Producer will work across features and episodic long form productions. Running day-to-day project activity and resources to ensure productions are rolling through the facility without issues.
Key responsibilities:Supervising and running the day-to-day project activity and resources to ensure productions are progressing efficiently through the facility to final deliveryWorking effectively with the rest of production team to cover resource scheduling, project management and billingWorking closely with the Associate Producers to ensure they are completing assigned tasks to a competent and effective levelBuilding and maintain relationships with new and existing clients Building and maintain relationships with the creative and technical as well as the production teams within the companyBeing open and able to negotiate with the production staff and clients when conflicts arise and challenges for bookings need to be madeMAIN DUTIES
Project Management:Responsible for the day-to-day project management and running of multiple productions being finished in the facility at any one timeWorking closely with the clients and internal team members to build workflows to specific project requirementsProject managing all aspects of assigned projects to completion including sound and picture postWorking closely with the Studios, Broadcasters, and Streaming services in creating and distribution of final deliverablesProvide guidance and supervision during integral parts of the finishing processWorking with the clients to schedule in the productions that you are looking after, ensuring that the schedules are reflective of the bid and the work that is requiredKeeping the client aware of the schedule that they are holding, and any challenge or conflict that happen throughout the projectOrganize camera tests on shows in preparation for principal photography, VFX and finishing. Tailor workflows to specific filmmakers/studio objectives. I.e., 3D, 16bit, HDR, and establish a working process in conjunction with our engineering and operations, image science and delivery teams, prior to project assignment to producer/s. Internal Production Supervision:Overseeing the internal project team and ensuring that pre-production meetings take place and that effective communications are in place between all parties Supervising more junior members of the production teamLiaising with operators on the progress of jobs to help ensure delivery schedules are upheldHelping to troubles-shoot any problems with artists and technical teams as required Provide support to other producers on the team, particularly resource scheduling and billing, as well as gap coverage for project management or taking on assignments as needed to help satisfy client needs. Billing & Cost Reporting:Providing regular costings and financial updates including Bid-Versus-Actuals spreadsheets to clientsEnsuring work orders are created, costed and billed in a timely fashionMaking sure that all the accounting, including forecasting and billing on all projects that you are managing is up to date, in keeping with company protocolsExperience:Have in depth knowledge and experience of workflows for sound and picture post-production on high-end long form productionsHave an excellent understanding of the process of creating, checking and delivering final content of the highest qualityPersonal Requirements/Skills:Strong organisation skills, methodical, with good attention to detailAbility to prioritise conflicting tasks and work on multiple projects simultaneouslyProblem-solving, logical thinker who can find creative solutions to production challengesMust be client- and service-focused with a can-do attitudeAbility to adapt to schedule and requirement changes and to thrive in a fast-paced working environmentCalm and confidentStrong communication skills in writing, on calls, and in person, with a good understanding of when each is appropriateAbility to negotiate and to be clear and firm as well as polite and respectulAbility to develop and maintain strong relationships with staff and clients alikeGood team player willing to ask and answer questions of team-mates, and to work together for the greater good Encouraging and contributing to a healthy, positive working environment and cultureBusiness System Experience:Familiarity with capabilities of DaVinci Resolve, Baselight, Flame and Pro Tools desirableMicrosoft Office 365: Outlook / Excel / Word / PowerPoint proficiency Familiar with facility scheduling applications such as Media Pulse, Ceta, and Xytech Proficient with web applications and portals for job managementWorking Conditions:Working week is typically 40 hours, Mon-Fri onsite, however due to the nature of the job, some evening and weekend work may be required About the Company:
