Role Introduction

Reports to: Aircraft Programmes Manager (Development, Definition & Introduction)

In Engineering, the focus is on ensuring safety and maintaining industry-leading performance across all aspects of our operations, including adherence to plans, budgets, and specifications for various fleet programs.

The role of the Senior Fleet Programs Engineer is crucial in supporting all aspects of program management for aircraft inductions. This includes ensuring that key milestones are met on schedule and that specifications, costs, and weights align with the airline's expectations. Additionally, the role involves supporting the issuance of reports and conducting physical inspections of aircraft in accordance with the Cathay Pacific Organisation Designation Approval (ODA) 183 requirement, which is essential for the issuance of a Certificate of Airworthiness (CofA). This position is key to our commitment to excellence and safety in our fleet development and maintenance strategies.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate new/used aircraft induction programmes, from specification through to delivery and issuance of first Certificate of Airworthiness (CofA), physical inspections and document acceptanceCoordinate transfer activities of aircraft from the fleetSupport the Pogram Manager for all phases of induction up to Entry-Into-Service (EIS)Support the aircraft definition process ensuring the specification and options selected are managed through the internal goverance process and are compliant with airworthiness requirementsSupport Program Manager for new aircraft source selection analysis process.Support Cathay Pacific Organization Designation Approval (ODA) 183 personnel to ensure that aircraft are compliant with Hong Kong regulationsSupport Cathay Pacific Organization Designation Approval (ODA) 183 administrative work including Procedure Manual update and housekeeping of associated records and filesRequirements
Typically 6 years' experience in aircraft maintenance and/or engineering. Degree in Engineering / Aerospace disciplineProven experience of supporting, delivering aircraft projects and working with cross functional teamsProven ability in stakeholder management and working with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Maintenance Reapir Organizations (MROs)Experience in HKAR-183 Design Organisation is preferredMembership of The Instuitation of Hong Kong Engineers (HKIE) is preferredExperience in leading LEAN projectsGood in communication, influencing and negotiation skillsDrive for excellencePersonal & Application Information
