Roles and Responsibilities
Provide wind turbine system expertise through all phases of product development, including requirements definition, design and development, validation, and product life-cycle supportLead technical program teams on all system trade-offs and optimizations with a focus on the reduction of landed cost of electricityOwn turbine-level requirements in the form of Systems Design Memos; contribute and approve subsystem requirements in Design MemosOwn and drive risk management for technical program team including ownership of the Systems DFMEAContribute to multi-generation system and technology plans in coordination with all subsystems, including design platforming strategiesContribute to and approve customer facing technical documentsCommunicate and provide recommendations through analysis, preparation and presentation of technical material to internal and external audiencesDrive simplification and standardization of best practices into engineering analysis, validation, and design executionContribute to new and existing design practicesRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or collegeMinimum of 5 years of significant experience in Engineering/TechnologyMinimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience working on wind turbine system-related projectsDesired Characteristics
Ability to break-down complex issues, determine possible courses of action, and enable effective decision makingSystem or product-level mindsetConceptual design and/or system-level trade-off experienceField issues, test and/or validation experienceRequirements definition, decomposition, and/or translation experienceEffective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiencesStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsMinimum of 5 years of wind turbine engineering experienceThe salary range for this position is $111,200- $185,400 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation. This posting is expected to close on February 5th or thereafter.
