Position Description
This role serves as the lead finance partner supporting the Consumer Markets Sales organization with McKesson Medical Surgical Business Unit. Primary responsibilities are leading finance processes including planning, forecasting, and analysis of revenue, expense, and profitability. A successful candidate offers financial expertise through analytics, displays intellectual curiosity, is a thought leader and continuously improves processes and procedures. This role collaborates across the business and uses influence to deliver financial results and motivate the Sales team.
The Sales finance team is responsible for the sales and gross profit business analysis & reporting to the Sales VP leadership team. This unique Consumer markets FP&A role will work closely with sales, marketing, and other business partners on the strategic growth mode for Consumer. Additionally, this senior analyst will be responsible for performance reporting, business analysis, and recommendations to the VP leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting activities including development of executive reporting, trend and variance analysis, and risks and opportunitiesPrepare and deliver financial presentations, business reviews, commentary across multiple functions and levels of leadershipDevelop partnerships and collaborate with business owners to improve financial projections and processesCross-functional development of Consumer strategic business case and growth initiativesSupport ad-hoc analytics or projects and strategic initiatives as neededMinimum Requirements
5+ years in finance, accounting or similar experience
Critical Skills
Prior experience performing budget, forecast, plan, variance analysisStrong analytical skills - ability to create, manipulate and analyze financial modelsAdvanced skills in Excel (formulas, modeling, pivot tables) and SQL is a plusMotivated self-starter that is well organized, dependable, efficient and results orientedDemonstrated strong collaboration skills and ability to develop strong partnerships at multiple levelsExecutive presence and experience with presentations to various leadership levelsAbility to provide strategic recommendations and influence stakeholders to make decisionsExcellent communication and presentation skillsWork is accomplished without considerable directionComfort working in business amidst ambiguity and transformational changeAdditional Skills
