Job Summary
Collaborates with user-experience designers, web developers, and back-end developers to design and develop sophisticated, modern user interfaces for high-volume, large-scale web applications with a focus on mobile-first responsive design.
Build and maintain technical knowledge relevant to assigned projects while learning and adapting to new technologies. Support a culture of continuous improvement and act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Possess strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
Report for work on time according to schedule. Work occasional nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and overtime as necessary.
Essential Functions
Develop and maintain front-end code using technologies such as HTML, CSS/Sass, Bootstrap, JavaScript, AJAX, DOM, Twig, and modern JavaScript frameworks, such as React.js. Contribute and maintain pattern libraries with Pattern Lab for user interface components by utilizing the CLI and Node Package manager. Organize, automate, and version control front-end processes using Gulp and Git. Convert annotated visual designs to fully functional web pages with associated assets (HTML, CSS/Sass, images, JavaScript, etc.) while adhering to responsive web design principles with a mobile-first approach. Participate actively in Agile practices by collaborating with product owners, Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, and other team members in such activities as grooming user stories with cross-functional development teams, planning sessions, etc. Identify tasks related to HTML authoring and/or front-end development, and estimate effort for front-end development. Ensure work products are delivered on schedule and follow best practices by keeping current with W3C standards of web design and applications, including accessibility guidelines. Work with other developers on tasks related to back-end integration, using RESTful web services, APIs, data serialization, JSON, XML, etc. Write and implement unit tests for JavaScript code using various build/CI tools. Debug code across different browsers and devices (desktop, mobile, tablet), analyzing and optimizing the performance of web pages; helping to implement Application Performance Monitoring tools.Required Qualifications
Minimum of Bachelor's or equivalent. Please review the Equivalency Chart for additional information. Minimum of Three to five years experience in related field. Familiarity with Atomic design principles, Pattern Lab, gulp, PHP, Twig, similar build tools, React.js, and similar front-end frameworks such as Vue.js, CSS frameworks, etc. is a must.Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Sitecore (CMS) or in a Microsoft/ASP.NET environment is desirable, though not essential.Physical Requirements

This position is classified as an Exempt grade N. Compensation for this grade ranges from $ 90,430 to $ 135,640 per YEAR. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
