Location: Manila, Philippines (Hybrid)

The day-to-day

Manages mailboxes and respond to complex or high risk tickets promptly and effectively

Monitor and update the Global Urgent Payment trackers

Managing and creation of global payment batches and manual wires including critical and urgent vendors

Maintaining the list of critical vendors to mitigate the risk of operational disruptions.

Help monitor all cash outflows to prevent financial leakages

Continuous monitoring of bank accounts being handled by the team to ensure coherence and consistency.

Perform issue resolution, validation, due diligence and payment clearing processes

Proactively provide recommendations to reduce the number of manual/off-cycle payments

Assist on effectively analyzing Days Payable Outstanding (DPO) to optimize our payment cycles

Drives process improvement and participates in process documentation & supports continuous improvement initiatives by providing ideas, pain points & recommendations.   

Conducts quality control and operational audit work. 

Conducts and deploys trainings to new members of the team and ensures playbooks are updated

Provide prompt, friendly, and efficient customer service to external and internal inquiries

Assist in periodic audits and tax compliance of the Accounts Payable team as needed by providing supporting records and takes necessary steps to correct any discrepancies

Updates job knowledge by participating in trainings & learning opportunities 

Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Escalates production issues to AP Team Lead as appropriate.

Ensure that all payments have been processed according to SOX and internal controls 

Protect the organization's value by keeping financial information confidential.

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or its equivalent.

4-6 years of solid experience in Invoice Processing, Travel and Expense, and Payments, ideally within the SaaS and Finance Shared Services environments.

Willing to work night and or shifting schedules to accommodate different time zones per global business requirements.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in addition to strong decision making and problem solving skills in a growing and dynamic environment

Intermediate to advanced MS Office (Excel) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) skills required (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, etc.)

Ability to provide excellent customer service and work well with other teams to establish and maintain effective working relationships

Exposure to change management and process improvement is desirable

Ability to thrive in a fast-growing and fast-paced environment where change is the norm; strong multitasking skills

Strong organization skills, can work with minimal supervision with speed & accuracy and attention to detail is a must.

Familiarity with financial accounting platforms, including but not limited to Expensify, Brex, Egencia, NetSuite, and Coupa is highly desirable.
