We are looking for an experienced and talented Senior Full stack Developer Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for the DS cloud-based offerings and drive systematic implementation of services and components with best practices. The position could be filled both in Zurich, Switzerland or Bensheim, Germany. 

 

Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (m/f/d)

 

Key Responsibilities:

Write high-quality code adhering to architecture and technical standards. Provide technical leadership, identify weaknesses, minimize technical debt, and recommend improvements. Drive the technical implementation of business features, ensuring seamless realization of requirements. Collaborate closely with TechLead and PO to clarify and negotiate requirements. Analyze assignment alternatives and plan work through WBS and time estimation. Report progress, raise issues, and provide solutions. Ensure high test coverage, implement best practices, and fix defects in code. Conduct thorough code reviews and support the product owner in defining epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Ensure unit and integration tests are in place for all implementations. Collaborate with other teams to define APIs and maintain effective communication. Stay updated on the latest technologies by reading research papers and attending conferences. Mentor and coach fellow software engineers. Take on additional responsibilities as assigned.

 

Requirements and Qualification:

 

Education

Bachelors, Masters or PhD in computer science or related engineering disciplines.

Years and Type of Experience

Several years of experience as a software engineer. History of delivered commercially  successful software products. Experience with multiple programming languages (such as Golang/C++, Flutter/Dart). Experience building successful commercial SaaS and/or PaaS. Experience in full stack development is big plus, building (web) multi-tiers applications from front-end to back-end. Experience in CI/CD, Containerization (Docker) and Cloud Computing (e.g., GCP, Kubernetes). Experience in the field of medical technology and the development of medical devices is an advantage. Experience in dealing with cybersecurity requirements in the medical device environment is advantageous. Experience in leading technical teams is a plus.

Ability to solve complex technical problems. Very good knowledge of frontend and backend development best practices. Very good knowledge of English, both written and spoken. German advantageous. Self-organized and self-reliant, but willing to learn and share knowledge. Technical enthusiast with broad overview constantly eager to engage in new technologies and challenges. Open-minded, communicative, and strong commitment. High degree of initiative, commitment, and goal orientation.
