Northern Trust’s Foreign Exchange business provides global coverage for our clients, and trades in 70+ currencies through our comprehensive FX capabilities.
As the business continues to grow, we are looking to hire an Senior FX Trade Support Specialist located in London. This role will interact with the other Trade Support teams globally and may have an opportunity in the future to promote to managing that team.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Assists the current activities of the Trade Support function, including trade entry, trade controls, and managing the team inbox.Ensures all pre-and post-trade processes and controls have been completed with accuracy and timeliness.Represents the Trade Support team function on internal initiatives, including Sales & Trading, Business Management, Product, Operations, Technology, Compliance, and internal audit. Identifies and develops solutions for performance, process, risk and controls improvement.Manages relationship with London Sales & Trading personnel, and determines applicability to all 3 branches of the business. Assist the Global Head of Trade Support in setting the strategy and direction of the team in each region and provides team members a plan for execution.Acts as the Foreign Exchange technical expert in managing the delivery of services including analyzing client needs, recommending improvements, and assessing the impact of required or recommended service enhancements.Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities.Skills/ Qualifications:

Experience working in a global teams in a Trade Support / Middle Office functionProven experience supporting a Foreign Exchange businessExcellent oral and written communication skills are requiredExperience in managing teams is preferredLeadership and organizational skills are required to develop periodic goals and to manage and motivate team members towards the goals set.Analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
