Senior General Ledger (GL) Accountant
Key Responsibilities + Oversee and manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. + Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries , including accruals, prepayments, amortizations, and adjustments in compliance with accounting standards. + Perform detailed GL account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies proactively. + Review and edit staff’s GL entries and reconciliations to ensure quality and accuracy. + Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the general ledger and related financial statements. + Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, identifying trends, variances, and unusual items. + Maintain and monitor the chart of accounts and cost centers. + Assist with the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules for management and external audits. + Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations. + Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements. + Drive continuous process improvements within the GL function, recommending automation or system enhancements. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, treasury, and B&R. + Participate in the development and implementation of new accounting policies, procedures, and controls. + Support intercompany reconciliations and ensure elimination entries are properly recorded. Preferred Skills: + Advanced Excel skills; experience with large ERP systems (SAP preferred ). + Ability to analyze large sets of data and explain variances. + Strong organizational, leadership, and time management skills. + Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities. + Strong knowledge of IFRS. Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. + 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience, with strong GL exposure. + Meets tight deadline requirements.   Powered by JazzHR
