THE JOB:
 

The Senior General Restaurant Manager oversees all facets of restaurant management for assigned establishments. This role involves providing clear guidance and leadership to the Assistant General Manager, Assistant Manager, and the Restaurant Service team, aligning their efforts with the MGM brand. The primary responsibilities include steering the team towards the attainment of operational and financial objectives, boosting covers, and optimizing reservation channels. The Senior General Restaurant Manager also oversees staff performance, scheduling, and training initiatives, implementing strategies outlined by property F&B leadership. Maintenance of facilities in line with MGM Resorts service standards is crucial, along with ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and guest experiences.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

Oversee daily operations of Beerhaus, Nine Fine Irishmen, Starbucks, 48th and Crepe, Pool, and Mad Apple

Responsible for the execution of policies, operating procedures, pricing initiatives, training programs, directives, menus, rules, and regulations for the restaurant staff.

Owns restaurant’s execution of F&B and/or company-wide initiatives and programs.

Collaborates with Executive Chef and culinary team to ensure a seamless service experience between kitchen and dining room.

Maintains excellent knowledge of venue’s food & beverage products, menu items, and equipment used to perform duties.

Perform other job-related duties as requested.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

5+ years in a food and beverage management position

Previous experience managing multiple outlets preferably in a similar resort setting

Previous experience managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement.

Bilingual, English as the primary or secondary language.

Working knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems and operations.

Strong overall knowledge of food and beverage preparation and presentation.

Excellent customer service skills.

Able to lead and mentor other leaders

Excellent organizational skills; be able to function under time constraints and deadlines with attention to detail.
