About the position:
Senior Geologic Reservoir Modeler is a position in Chevron ENGINE's Earth Science team and will be an experienced and accomplished practitioner in the field of static reservoir modeling technologies and workflows.
Key responsibilities:
The position provides expert reservoir modeling services to business units and projects and is responsible for the development and/or deployment of existing and new technology and workflows to solve key business challenges across Chevron
Integration of geological, petrophysical, geophysical and engineering data to create reservoir models used for resource evaluation, development planning, and production forecasting
Provides day-to-day project management, including scoping and framing of complex subsurface projects
Providing mentoring on reservoir modeling to less experienced staff is an important component on the job
Required qualification:
BS and MS in Earth science disciplines (Geology, Geophysics, Geomechanics)
Geostatistical modeling skills and designing complex modeling workflows
Experience in reservoir characterization techniques and modeling reservoir uncertainty
Excellent communication skills, collaborative abilities, multi-disciplinary team-working behaviors and demonstrated collaborative and teaming behaviors
Advanced expertise in Petrel reservoir modeling skills or similar
Experience in integrating engineering data (production) into reservoir models
