Role description: Due to continued growth in our Transportation, Energy & Renewables, Water, Port and Maritime and Building sectors, we are expanding our Geotechnical and Tunnel Engineering team. As part of our dynamic team at Arcadis, you'll contribute to innovative and practical solutions for complex geotechnical challenges, enhancing infrastructure resilience and sustainability. You'll have the chance to work on a variety of projects, from site investigations and GIR report writing to designing foundations, retaining walls, slope stabilization, ground improvement, deep excavation and in-ground structures. This role offers involvement throughout the project life cycle, from planning and concept design to tender, detailed design, and construction support, all while being supported by senior team members to foster your growth and development. Role accountabilities: Lead geotechnical design packages, ensuring technical quality, compliance, and timely delivery. Undertake geotechnical analysis and design using tools such as PLAXIS 2D, Slope/W, RS2, and LPile, and passionate to quickly adapt and learn new design skills as required. Plan and manage site investigations, laboratory tests, and interpret soil and rock data and prepare GIR reports. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, providing technical advice and ensuring integrated solutions. Mentor and develop junior engineers, enhancing their technical skills and design checks and promote technical excellence. Prepare and input into technical reports, design drawings, and project documentation. Contribute to bids and proposals, identifying risks and opportunities and solutions for winning outcome. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support project objectives Qualification & Experience: Tertiary qualifications, Bachelor or preferably Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, (Soil / Rock Mechanics) Demonstrated proficiency and a solid track record of success in the geotechnical design and report writing, with experience leading and delivering technical solutions. Proven expertise in foundation design, soft soil and rock mechanics, embankments, slope stabilization, in-ground structures, excavations and soil-structure interaction. Strong planning, organizational, and project management abilities. Excellent client relationship skills, with a focus on meeting client needs and expectations. Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills.
