Clover Leaf Solutions is seeking a Civil Engineer with Geotechnical experience to join our dynamic team in Albuquerque, NM. We work directly with government agencies and other facilities, providing services that have a meaningful impact on the communities we serve.
The ideal candidate should be a registered Civil Engineer in the State of New Mexico or able to obtain licensure within six months. Success in this role requires someone who can adapt to diverse personalities and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. You should have strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, along with a commitment to the successful execution of assigned duties. As a leader and collaborator, you will oversee a team and manage various aspects of geotechnical and civil engineering projects.
Responsibilities include:
Conducting and supervising geotechnical subsurface evaluations, including soil testing and site assessments. Compiling and analyzing geotechnical and construction materials laboratory test data. Performing engineering calculations related to geotechnical design and analysis. Reviewing plans, specifications, and field/laboratory reports to ensure technical accuracy. Preparing and reviewing materials testing proposals, ensuring alignment with project goals and client requirements. Overseeing the testing and inspection of construction materials, including soils, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates. Managing projects from inception through completion, with responsibility for managing client expectations, budgets, and schedules. Mentoring and training junior engineers and staff, conducting performance reviews and setting professional development goals. Ensuring all laboratory certifications and accreditations are up to date and in compliance with relevant standards.To be considered, candidates should have:
A BS in Civil Engineering. A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, particularly in geotechnical engineering. The ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, think creatively, and solve complex engineering problems. Extensive knowledge of construction industry standards and building codes. Familiarity with AASHTO, ASTM test methods, and overseeing materials testing and inspections. An understanding of accreditation policies for relevant agencies such as AMRL, CCRL, IAS. Proficiency in MS Office and engineering-related software tools. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
