Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Senior Geotechnical Engineer Job Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer with a strong background in geotechnical investigations and construction inspections. This role requires a master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, a PE in PA, and over 10 years of experience in the geotechnical field. The ideal candidate will possess design experience in both shallow and deep foundations and be proficient in using software such as gINT, Slide/SLOPE/W, PLAXIS, and MSEW. Responsibilities + Prepare technical reports, specifications, construction plans, and geotechnical recommendations. + Prepare proposals, coordinate projects, manage clients, and handle billings. + Provide mentorship, coaching, and review work for staff. + Support excavation designs and perform Plaxis 3D analysis. + Log borings and perform observations during construction projects. + Manage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines. + Monitor budgets, schedules, and project timelines. Essential Skills + Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering. + 10+ years of experience in the geotechnical field. + Professional Engineer (PE) license in PA. + Experience with geotechnical investigations and construction inspections. + Design experience in shallow and deep foundations. + Proficiency with software: gINT, Slide/SLOPE/W, PLAXIS, and MSEW. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with retaining wall design, drilled pile construction, footings subgrade and backfill inspection, and excavation support system design. + Strong project management skills. + Capability in geotechnical analysis and preparation of geotechnical reports. Work Environment This role involves 90 percent office work and 10 percent field work. It is a management position overseeing staff engineers, staff, and project professionals. The work environment offers work-from-home options for 2 days a week, 2-4 weeks of PTO with comp time available, and amenities such as free lunch every Wednesday and free breakfast every Thursday. Additionally, a $500 home office stipend is provided. The company is well known in the industry and offers access to large data center projects involving various geologies. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $165000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
