The Rubrik Accounting team is looking for a Senior GL Accountant! This person will be responsible for several areas within the General Ledger function including month/quarter end close and reconciliation process. This position is located at Rubrik HQ in Palo Alto, CA and will report to the Assistant Controller.
Where you can make an impact:
Assist with month-end close including, but not limited to, journal entries, accruals, and reconciling general ledger accounts Perform and assist with calculations and analyses in support of quarter-end reporting Prepare and review reconciliations, department close and reporting packages, analytics, management presentations and efficiency metrics Assist with monthly variance analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts for management review Assist with implementing process improvements and establish best practices Coordinate with other departments to obtain transaction information, research reconciling items, and resolve issues Assist with ad-hoc projects and management inquiries Assist in quarterly reviews and annual audit with external auditors
Ideal background:
BS in Accounting 7+ years experience in accounting Familiarity with common accounting issues, financial statement line items and financial metrics/ratios Strong analytical skills, creative problem-solving, and ability to summarize conclusions succinctly Knowledge of Netsuite is highly preferred Ability to prioritize multiple duties and work independently Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to actively and attentively listen Ability to work under pressure and meet targets and deadlines Able to respond effectively to changing priorities
