Senior GL Accountant
Description Senior General Ledger Accountant Location: Sunnyvale, CA Job Type: Full-Time; Onsite Robert Half is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior General Ledger Accountant to join a dynamic and innovative team in Sunnyvale, CA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with general accounting operations, strong technical skills, and a passion for process improvement. Key Responsibilities: General Ledger Management: Oversee and maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies. Month-End Close: Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide insights to senior management, ensuring timely and accurate financial data. Audit Support: Assist in both internal and external audit processes by providing documentation, reconciling accounts, and addressing auditor inquiries. Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process and system improvements to increase efficiency and streamline workflows. Collaborative Efforts: Partner with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, and IT, to improve financial reporting and accounting systems. Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by keeping up-to-date with existing and new legislation. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience in a related field. + Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred. 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus on general ledger accounting. + Advanced knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards. + Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, and Workday. + Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas. + Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. + Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
