Our Excelitas facility in Alzenau, Germany, has key positions in Operations and Production. This facility specializes in manufacturing UV gas discharge lamps for UV curing of paints or printing inks as well as for air and water treatment.
As a Senior Global EHS Manager you will be responsible for implementing, monitoring and maintaining the company's environmental, health and safety programs. As such, you will ensure ongoing compliance with applicable international, federal, state and local environmental, health and safety regulations, including conducting EHS training and audits at sites worldwide and sharing best practices from sister sites and external companies. You will also evaluate site EHS metrics/KPIs and work with sites to improve these metrics.
Main responsibilities:
Work closely with the site EHS manager to ensure compliance with regulatory agency requirements and implement programs to comply with legal and regulatory requirements of the respective country. - Review and regularly monitor each site's environmental, health and safety permits and ensure compliance with the respective permit conditions; Standardize and implement best practices for key EHS processes at all main sites; Work with site EHS teams, technical teams, supply chain and customers to ensure compliance with EU RoHS, REACH, WEEE and PFAS directives as part of Prodcu compliance support; Interact with all EHS managers globally to assist with EHS issues and provide continuous guidance to improve EHS KPIs for the sites; Conduct training and audits on site EHS practices and process implementation effectiveness, including workplace hazard analysis/risk assessments; Training of managers and employees.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in EHS, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a similar or related field with at least 5 to 8 years of professional experience; Certification as an auditor for ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001 is a prerequisite; Practical knowledge and good practical implementation of ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 is essential; Recognized certification as a safety representative in your country of residence; Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Access; Languages: fluent in German and English Travel: approx.30 to max. 50%.
