This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring office attendance in Long Beach, CA on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. During the first 8-12 weeks of training, you will be required to be in the Long Beach office full-time, Monday through Friday.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
Understand international shipping processes from purchase order to cargo delivery
Input financial data to ensure accurate customer billing
Adapt processes to address internal and external challenges
Execute shipments and mentor others on meeting customer requirements
Maintain accurate shipment data in relevant systems
Provide complex quotes and coach others on pricing strategies
Offer track and trace services, generating necessary shipment documents
Build strong customer relationships and resolve issues promptly
Collaborate with teams to improve processes and suggest technology solutions
Support Sales Executives and Account Managers with customer reporting
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the global forwarding industry, preferably in ocean exports
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred:
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Knowledge or coursework in supply chain, logistics, or international business
Extensive industry and departmental knowledge (processes, regulations, international shipping, etc.)
Strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills, with high flexibility as priorities shift daily
Proactive, ambitious, hardworking, and analytical mindset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven office environment
Proven track record of customer service and client focus
High attention to detail, with the ability to maintain 95% or higher monthly audit compliance and minimize unbillable charges

Compensation Range
