Want to join us?As a Global Process Design and Automation Engineer, you will be part of a new team in Braga-Portugal responsible for machine’s hardware and software development to supply globally Aptiv factories. Your main responsibility will be designing Vision systems and perform Project Management, for equipment that will be used to assemble and/or test our active safety products that will make our cars safer and keep savings lives.
Your RoleProvide Vision systems design for equipment and controls development projects for Aptiv product programs globally
Work with ECD (Equipment & Controls Development) suppliers to clarify equipment designs, and support the build on the shop floor
Work with ECD Project Managers to provide equipment designs in alignment with project technical requirements and product program timing
Lead the project management and Cash-flow for ECD2
Manage and input order numbers, balance sheet entries, and requisitions into SAP accurately and efficiently. Also manage projects in terms of Financials and Project’s Timeline
Work with ECD Project Managers to provide equipment designs in alignment with project technical requirements and product program timing
Create design print packages and Bill Of Material for supplier sourcing and subsequent builds
Understand equipment Standard of work to help clarify requirements and develop concepts
Support manufacturing location installation efforts, site debug, and product validation readiness
Support manufacturing location equipment related issues remotely as well as follow up site visits as needed
Your BackgroundBachelor’s degree Management, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience or training in Project Management
Basic knowledge of C++ programming language
Excellent project management skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Outstanding verbal, written communication in English
Ability to travel 50% of the time in Europe and the US
