Dynamic Concepts, LLC (DCI) is an Axient Subsidiary specializing in engineering and software services for government (NASA and DoD) and commercial applications.

We are looking for a Senior GN&C Modeling and Simulation Engineer to join our team supporting the development and analysis of the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket in Huntsville AL.  

What you will do...

Regular tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Mathematical modeling of GN&C and launch vehicle or spacecraft subsystems (propulsion/engines, TVC, RCS, mass properties, aero, slosh, flex, environments, dispersions, etc.) in a 6DoF simulation environment Analyzing vehicle dynamics associated with launch vehicle or spacecraftConfiguring and executing high-fidelity 6DoF simulationsPerforming 6DoF Monte Carlo simulation and statistical based analysisPerforming GN&C design and analysis of launch vehicles or spacecraftReviewing and providing comments on technical documentationGenerating detailed analysis reports / slide packages and presenting / communicating results to customers. Basic Requirements

Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited universityCandidate must have at least MS+15 years (or PhD+12 years) of direct experience in the following areas:6DoF modeling and simulationMonte Carlo simulation and statistical analysisGuidance, Navigation or ControlC/C++ programmingCandidate must be a resident of Huntsville – North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the areaCandidate must be willing to travel up to approximately 5% of timeCandidate must show proof of US Citizenship

Desired experience

Familiarity with NASA programs and requirementsGuidance, Navigation, and ControlC/C++ programming languagePython scripting language
