Senior Grant Development Director

What You’ll Do

As Senior Grant Development Director with The Fedcap Group, you’ll report to the Chief Strategy Officer and drive philanthropic and government grant opportunities for our Easterseals programs and related human services affiliates. You’ll oversee grant writing application and RFP response efforts and have primary responsibility to identify, evaluate, develop, draft, and submit applications for a variety of funding opportunities across multiple states related to human services in partnership with local program and executive leadership.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Collaborating with local program and executive leadership to understand strategic business and program goals and develop grant fundraising strategy. Researching local and national funding opportunities aligned with strategic priorities and local agency needs, including both philanthropic and government sources. Monitoring the competitive landscape, identifying and assessing new grant opportunities. Leading proposal development and technical writing for grant opportunities and taking full responsibility for drafting and ensuring the timely submission of all grant proposals. Researching, analyzing, developing, and tracking relationships with new prospects and existing donors, managing a designated portfolio. Tracking grant relationships and reporting on metrics related to proposal activity.

You’re a great fit for this role if you have:

Bachelor’s degree, with Master’s degree preferred. Significant experience (ideally 10+ years) in grant writing and securing funding for organizations in human services, education, and/or disability services. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously without missing any priorities. Experience collaborating with program staff, finance teams, and leadership to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving capabilities. Exceptional verbal/written communication and presentation skills. Outstanding organizational abilities and a keen eye for attention to detail. Ability to foster strong interpersonal relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and collaborate effectively with team members. Fluent with technology and able to work with various relevant software such as Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, and others.
