KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS:
Lead designing, development and validation of Bias tyre Green product model for MTD plant by aligning with organization set standards such as EP, Quality etc.. (ISO compliance) standards.Lead the risk analysis of R2 &R3 and Liaise with TLO and contribute for Risk analysis of R1, Design review, Design verification, and validation plan for ‘ New product development” and Evolution (Change of material , component and composition) projects.Conduct theoretical calculation for new bias green product modelPrepare bias green tyre specification for new productSupport to prepare sample test tyre orders to customerVerify & provide material cost proposals for new products of bias tyres in Midigama plantLead problem solving related to bias tyre product design with effective collaboration and using appropriate problem-solving toolsLiaise with problem solving on demand in the manufacturing (Quality, processing issues) in Bias tyres in Midigama plantLead material and manufacturing planning, execution, logistics, and verification / validation of prototypes/Architectural analysis of Bias Types in Midigama plant.Lead to organize pre series processing of Bias tyres in Midigama plant.Check and verify the “marking check list “ in prototype tyres.Support to develop new strategies for optimize the bias tyre product cost.Establish and document “Green bias tire design rules” to secure unique product performances even the products are produced in diverse locations with different technologies.Contribute to the design events relevant to “ Bias tyres”Provide training and tutoring to enhance technical knowledge of Manufacturing team in Tyre section of a Midigama plantProvide required technical data of products for new process technology and improvement of existing process in Midigama plantLead to conduct the manufacturing feasibility for new product of bias tyresHold responsibility to maintain records and documents as per the underlying guideline of Michelin and ISO quality assurance systemContribute to complete VICC and achieving its target relevant to the Bias tyre process.Perform any other responsibility as assigned by the management.EXTERNAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
BSc. Engineering Degree specialized in Mechanical /Design or Polymer Science or any equivalent qualificationMinimum 5 years’ of relevant experienceHaving a Masters’ degree will be an added advantageStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks etc.Fluent in English language, strong communication skills and teamwork abilitiesMichelin is an equal employment opportunity employer of visible minorities, women, Indigenous persons and people with disabilities.
