What You'll Do Avalara’s cloud-based subscription solution’s go to market relies on integrations with our Technology Partners (platforms) and demand generation from our partner ecosystem driving opportunities and bookings. The role will be a part of the Partner Decision Support team, which leads business reporting and analysis, strategic planning, and ad hoc modeling in fast paced environment with growth opportunities. The role will have the opportunity to have strong direct exposure to Senior Exec. meetings and decision making. We are looking for a critical thinking and data oriented/driven GTM business analytics expert to join our team. As a senior data associate, the individual will be working with multi-dimensional data sets, Power BI Dashboard builds, helping drive business intelligence and visibility on trends and performances of different teams/initiatives. We’re looking for a candidate with strong data analytics and visualization skills (Power BI), with good exposure to software or SaaS GTM, excel models, and business/financial initiatives. This role will be very impactful, helping report actionable insights driving quick and efficient strategic decision-making with strong opportunity for growth. The role will work closely with different GTM leaders, scoping requirements for reporting/initiative modeling, and helping translate plans/initiatives to business KPIs. Analytics and Finance background is always a plus. What Your Responsibilities Will Be Data Collection and Analysis: Proficiency in extracting data from various sources (e.g., databases, spreadsheets) and manipulating it using SQL/ Advanced Excel functions and formulas. Experience with SQL/Snowflake required. Data Reporting and Visualization: Create and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reports using tools like PowerBI to track key GTM metrics. Automate routine reporting to increase efficiency and enable deeper analysis. Improve efficiency, data quality, and visualization clarity of existing and new reporting. Excel Modeling is a Plus: Having experience and strength in understanding, and building forecast models or any business initiative models is a strong Plus. For planning, excel is used frequently for target development, ad hoc and forecasting. Data Validation: Ensure data accuracy and integrity through thorough validation processes. Preferable with experience with salesforce CRM for data QA and report generation. Insights and Identifying Key KPIs: Prepare clear and concise reports, summarizing key findings and actionable insights for strategic initiatives. Some PowerPoint experience preferred as well. Collaboration and Stakeholder Mgmt: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand dependencies. Gather and document stakeholder business requirements by effective cross functional communication, understanding the end-to-end scope on the deliverable. Good and candid communication is highly preferred. What You'll Need to be Successful What are we looking for? You are opinionated. Required Qualifications 5+ years relevant work experience analyzing large data sets and synthesizing data insights, with experience in Excel and SQL preferred. Bachelors required but Masters preferred in Analytics, Finance, or Business Economics Demonstrated ability to working with GTM leaders and stakeholders, with good communication and proactive stakeholder mgmt Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI or similar. We use Power BI.Proven track record in clean and crisp dashboards and quick at augmentations Experience in working in SaaS, and a technology company, preferably in the Sales & Marketing Demonstrated experience in problem solving and having a business and finance driven mindset Experience with CRM/Salesforce is desirable Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to work with cross-functional stakeholder keep files /data organized. Must articulate well in person and over writing. Tools and technologies: Advanced Excel and other MS Office suite, incl. Powerpoint Experience using CRM, Power BI, and other data analytics tools Preferred experience with JIRA and Confluence, but not required.
