Senior Hardware Engineer

Wood is recruiting for a Senior Hardware Engineer who is experienced within Automation and Control to support project across the UK. This role is in our System Integration (SI) team within our Digital Consulting business. 

This is a hybrid role that can be based at any of the following UK offices: Aberdeen, Staines, Reading, Glasgow or Northampton with the expectation of travel as required.

Please note applicants must be able to pass HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.

The Role

Due to growth across our SI business, the role of Senior Hardware Engineer sits within a 4-year project which forms part of a 5-year client contract with potential to extend further. 

In this role the Senior Hardware Engineer will support the implementation of projects in line with company objectives including continuous improvement of margin, customer satisfaction, schedule, working capital and safety performance.

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual, who has extensive experience within Automation and Control projects with a proven track record in supporting the delivery of project objectives.

Our Systems Integration (SI) team, work with a variety of high-profile clients across the energy sector. Delivering bespoke essential automation and control solutions that enable a safer and more efficient operation. 

Within SI, we are architecting our clients' digital ecosystems to be inherently safe, cybersecure and operable. Within our teams we integrate client source systems across their IT, Operational Technology (OT) environments, securely pushing OT data into IT systems as a foundation for transformation.

We design and integrate operational technology to achieve business, production and operational goals.
