Senior Hook Up Engineer
**Job Overview:** Sr. Hook-up Engineer will typically be leading the respective discipline and supporting to Hook-up lead & Hook-up Manager in delivering construction & completion campaign during hook-up phase to execute overall project in successful and timely manner. The Sr. Hook Up Engineer solves complex problems and uses discipline-specific knowledge to improve their products or services. **Key Tasks and Responsibilities:** + Prepare & review Hook Up job cards as appropriate including pre-requisites and focusing sequential installations and relevant completion activities + Develop the WBS for discipline scope + Review construction work packs for respective discipline and ensure compliance to project requirement + Prepare the hook-up schedule for discipline specific activities with efficient sequencing and synchronizing with other disciplines + Participate in Pre-engineering survey, pre-construction survey & post installation survey + Develop the constructability log & monitor the closing of actions on weekly basis + Review design MTO’s for discipline + Verify the MTO for offshore contingencies + Review the material requisitions in compliance with project specifications prior to order Coordinate deliveries of same on site (yard/port/offshore/any other onshore locations) + Review hook-up progress register and confirm understanding on progressing methodology Ensure progress register is in line with hook-up job cards for respective discipline + Liaise with warehouse team to ensure project material receiving status & inspection clearance from Quality + Liaise with fabrication team and take handover of fabricated project material and other ship lose material + Liaise with Hook-up material team and verify the material bag/tag as per project requirement & as per hook-up Job cards + Develop and implement detailed hook-up plans, , and strategies for onshore and offshore projects + Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers, ensuring their adherence to project timelines and quality standards + Collaborate with project management and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of necessary resources, materials, and equipment + Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures to ensure safety during hook-up operations + Ensure compliance with project requirements, industry codes, and standards, including the integration of environmental and sustainability aspects + Liaise with commissioning team and understand systems priorities, ensure construction is planned accordingly + Ensure the support with commissioning team to expedite the vendor related activities + Ensure scope familiarization with Hook-up superintendent & offshore construction crew prior to offshore mobilization + Travel to offshore sites and to onshore yard facilities (dynamic environment) for co-ordination & resolution of disciplinary interfaces + Participate in Toolbox Talks (TBT), Ensure Permit-To-Work (PTW) requirements are fulfilled before commencing each site activities and being compliant with the Company’s QHSES policies **Essential Qualifications and Education:** + Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical discipline) or equivalent industry experience + 10+ years’ experience in related offshore engineering fields + Strong knowledge of industry best practices, standards (API, ISO), and regulations related to hook-up activities + Proficiency in utilizing project management tools and software for planning, scheduling, and tracking hook-up and commissioning activities + Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively liaise with interdisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and clients + Demonstrated ability to resolve technical challenges, implement innovative solutions, and ensure continuous improvement + Proactive mindset with a strong focus on safety, quality, and delivering projects within defined timelines and budget constraints + Competent in analyzing technical documents, drawings, and specifications to identify discrepancies and propose corrective actions + Strong decision-making abilities under pressure, with the ability to prioritize tasks and allocate resources efficiently + Professional certifications (such as PMI or equivalent) or training in project management would be an advantage \#LI-MM2 Our ingenuity fuels daily life.
