Senior HR Advisor

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a well-rounded HR professional to join our warehouse and distribution centre based in Scoresby (shortly moving to Dandenong South). Reporting to the HR Director in Sydney, you will be the sole HR contact for the site and will partner with managers across both warehouse and office functions.

 

This is a broad generalist role supporting Warehouse Operations, Logistics, Customer Service and Finance, with the opportunity to collaborate with the broader HR team on company projects and initiatives. 

 

Key responsibilities include: 

Coach and advise managers and supervisors on operational matters including interpretation of company policies, enterprise agreements and legislation End-to-end recruitment, onboarding and offboarding Manage changes to employee’s terms and conditions e.g. promotions, transfers, flexible working arrangements, parental leave Manage employee relations issues in collaboration with line managers e.g. performance management, disciplinary matters, grievances, terminations Cyclical HR activities e.g. salary review, performance appraisal process, employee survey Administer the health and wellbeing program on-site Work closely with the OH&S Advisor on injuries and health and safety practices Identify opportunities for continuous improvement

You will have:

4+ years’ experience in a hands-on generalist role Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to influence and coach Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills with a flexible and adaptable approach Organised and able to manage multiple tasks Ability to work independently as well as part of a team In-depth knowledge of relevant awards and employment legislation to be able to effectively advise stakeholders on EBA and industrial Good judgement and problem-solving ability
