This role is required to have comprehensive technical HR specialist knowledge in order to expertly provide advice and answers to escalated queries related to their area of responsibility and/or stakeholder group. This role fosters good relationships by acting as an extension of the relevant stakeholder group and is responsible for keeping the relevant management team updated on the HR programs being implemented. **What you'll be doing** The Sr. HR Business Partner is both a strategic and hands on role that provides HR support to the global business groups by embedding corporate HR strategy into day-to-day work and providing professional HR guidance with the objective of driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. The Sr. HR Business Partner will report directly to the Director of Human Resources for the Global Data Center organization and will interact regularly with global leaders. Regular, predictable attendance is essential for satisfactory performance. essential duties & responsibilities + Understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continuous improvements in business objectives, productivity, and development of HR within the company. + Provide strategic advice and planning to the global business leaders regarding organization structure, strategy, training, and programs. + Provide support to the Director of Human Resources, as needed, on global HR issues, projects, presentations, and initiatives. + Support management in forecasting and planning their talent pipeline requirements in line with the function or business strategy. + Provide briefing and presentations regarding HR issues impacting each business function, including attrition, retention, recruiting, engagement, and training metrics sourced from each Region. + Review key business performance targets and their related talent implications with business leaders. + Assist business unit leaders in providing employees with development opportunities that align with current and future performance standards. Work with the Regional HRBP teams as appropriate. + A true hands-on approach to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement in partnership with the extended HR team as appropriate. + Provide expert advice and coaching to employees as necessary. Work with the Regional HRBP teams as appropriate. + Understand and solicit employees and business leads opinions and anticipate their needs and concerns. + Maintain consistent communication with the Regional HRBP teams and participation in necessary meetings or forums for HRBP comms. + Review and benchmark the internal and external environment to improve HR policies and initiatives. + Identify and drive the sharing of best practices across functions and within HR to facilitate continuous improvement. + Act as a liaison between employees, business leads and HR to ensure that HR services are aligned with internal client needs. + Identify new opportunities for HR to add value to the business. + Maintain knowledge of progressive HR practices and key trends. + Performs other duties as assigned. Transformation Related Responsibilities: + Align the new functional structure as per the goals of the transformation with the Business leaders. + Oversee the timelines for implementation of the new functional org structure. + Be the key point of contact for org design implementation for the function. + Be the change-lead to establish the new ways of working for key HR processes within the function while ensuring consistency, by being connected within the HR community. + Settling talent in new roles alongside business managers KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES + Able to be highly confidential. + Ability and desire to interface at all levels of the organization. + Clear, comprehensive understanding of the link between talent and other HR initiatives and business strategy + Ability to develop clear, actionable steps in support of an overall business strategy. + Ability to identify new ways for HR to support the business strategy. + Ability to recognize trends and develop recommendations based on data analysis. + Ability to engage, inspire, and influence people. + Ability to develop and deliver relevant, effective training programs to targeted audiences. + Success in creating and driving effective development, employee relations, retention and reward programs. + Lead the change in a complex environment. + Effective team player and networker + Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills + Significant knowledge of HR policies, processes (e.g., workforce planning and talent management), systems and talent management practices + Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point and Outlook; other systems skills a plus. + Manages stress and/or fast pace effectively. Education & Experience + Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR management, or related field or equivalent work and/or education required. + SPHR or SHRM certification preferred. + Minimum 8-10 years of relevant Human Resources experience, with 3 years in a management, generalist, or business partner capacity + May require specific experience supporting corporate functions business groups PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS + Primarily sitting with some walking, standing, and bending. + Able to hear and speak into a telephone. + Close visual work on a computer terminal. + Able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs + Remain stationary for long periods of time + Operate computer, peripherals, and other office equipment Work conditions & other requirements + Work across multiple global time zones (including but not limited to India, Europe, South Africa, US, Japan) is required for this position which will require work outside of normal work hours + Extensive daily usage of workstation or computer. + This role is expected to be remote with an occasional need to be on-site in a shared space, and with the possibility of global travel. + Must satisfactorily pass company-required background check process. **Workplace type** **:** On-site Working **About NTT DATA** NTT DATA is a $30+ billion trusted global innovator of business and technology services.
