Senior HR Generalist

We are looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Northville, MI. As the HR Generalist, you will be responsible for providing support to the Human Resources Manager on an on-going basis in a fast-paced environment. You will provide effective administration of policies, procedures, guidelines, and benefits. This role also supports company employee relations efforts, recruiting and onboarding.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Manage recruitment, the onboarding process, and requirement for the corporate functional groups. Implementation of policies, practices, and procedures necessary for the well-being of the company and its team members. Administration of the company’s benefits plans, by presenting and interpreting benefits programs to all salaried employees. Create and prepare HR Reports as requested for headcount, AAP reports, Merit and AIP audit reports, including acting as a key steward for data accuracy. Manage the offboarding process. Assist with the coordination of the company training program, including recognition of training needs, development of materials, and delivery of training. Plan and prepare succession planning with Human Resources Managers for the salaried staff. Maintain accurate HR records and generate reports as required. Analyze HR data to identify trends and recommend proactive solutions to enhance HR programs and practice. Conduct wage and salary administration programs. Develop and maintain procedures and programs for providing employee services to promote and maintain a high level of employee morale. Responsible for continual improvement projects and review as they apply to the department. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws. Provide other support to the Management team as needed.

 

 

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field required.

 

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

3 - 5 years of Human Resources experience in positions of increasing accountability. Solid understanding of HR best practices, employment laws and compliance requirements. Excellent communications, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills. Highly proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office applications. Detailed-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Provide other support as needed based on business needs. Ability to work in a high paced corporate environment Ability to work onsite in Northville, MI.
