The Sr. Plant HR Manager for the Melville manufacturing site will be responsible for managing all HR aspects of business partnership for the site in a trustful and solution-oriented collaboration. This includes all local HR topics and laws while having experience in aligning global programs such as Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning, Performance Management, Talent Planning, Employee Engagement to local culture implementing so the programs have a meaningful impact to Kedrion’s Business and People Strategy.
Main Responsibilities:
Partner with the Business and build credibility by demonstrating an understanding of the business, issues, challenges and corresponding implications for HR. He/she is the HR interface for senior management in the respective client groups and can proactively and respectfully challenge, influence and coach management on their human resource and other decisions and actions.Act as a Business Partner for the Melville assigned population to ensure that ongoing HR operational / day-to-day support is provided by the team in collaboration with the Sr HR Generalist. This includes all HR related topics, such as: staffing, movement and termination of employees; guidance on performance management / improvement; team development and effectiveness; compensation management; development of employees; talent planning process, sound execution of administrative processes, employee engagement initiatives, manager and/or employee coaching, etc. Monitor local HR KPIs, ensuring consistency with global KPIs framework and the identification of the required actions to achieve Company targetsInvolvement in US HR Budget in collaboration with HR Shared ServicesActive participation in providing support and feedback on global programs, and development of local HR programs and policies and strong accountability and ownership.Represent both employee and management interests by partnering with each to address needs, concerns and expectations; resolve various levels of employee relations issues to maintain and/or improve productivity. Manages conflict with medium to high complexity in a sensitive and trustful manner and highest professionalism.Partners with the Plant on improvement and HR related projects, with specific focus to building initiatives that boost culture, employee morale, supports training and working and communicating effectively across teams Responsible for any other HR projects or compliance as neededAdheres to compliance and GMP standards within the siteManagerial/Supervisory

Education, Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in HR or Labor Relations, Business & Administration, or otherMaster’s Degree or HR Certification as continued education is preferred. 5-10 years of experience, including 5 years as an HR generalist and time spent in a manufacturing environment.Current or prior experience working in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of hourly and exempt workforce practices and employee relations and demonstrated client leadership as a business partner (Customer focus)Direct people management experience is a plus. Experience in a global environment and pharmaceutical industry is a plusStrong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.Experience in data analysis and survey results analysis to help generate insights around talent, culture and engagement.Must have proficiency in using ExcelEffective business presentation skills utilizing effective visuals and charts in PowerPoint.Experience with HR software and systems.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Proven ability to manage conflict and handle sensitive employee issues with confidentiality.Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with excellent prioritization skillsDemonstrated ability to lead and influence amongst different levels, functions and geographiesStrong solution-orientation and pragmatism paired with exceptional flexibilityStrong team player – ready to think beyond own borders and be creativeSelf-motivated person with high personal and work ethicsWhile a hybrid schedule can be provided, the candidate must be able to work on-site at the Melville plant up to 5 days per week as needed. Work is primarily light in nature, with exerting up to 25lbs of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Reaching, handling, fingering, talking, hearing, bending, stooping, and walking. Involves sitting, standing, and walking most of the time.
